Christen Geron

Christen Geron is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with individuals, couples, and families navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, and emotional difficulties. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Louisiana State University Shreveport and her Master of Arts in Family Therapy from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. She has also completed Level 1 training in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy program.

Christen takes a client-focused, goal-oriented approach to therapy, helping clients better understand the patterns that influence their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and behaviors. She incorporates psychoeducation, emotional exploration, family-of-origin work, and practical strategies to help clients develop healthier patterns of communication and connection. When desired by the client, Christian values and faith can also be incorporated into the therapeutic process.

Areas of focus include couples and relationship concerns, communication and conflict, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, post-divorce adjustment, blended families, infertility, and other individual and family challenges. Christen particularly enjoys helping couples and families strengthen their relationships while working through difficult seasons and patterns that may be keeping them from moving forward.
